There are multiple reasons why adults are unable to read. We will briefly cover the cause, cost, and what you can do about it. If you have friends who might be interested in tutoring, this is the place to start.

Tutor In-Service: Visual Stress Syndrome
We are offering a workshop on Visual Stress Syndrome (VSS). VSS or light sensitivity is a common disability among adult learners. Join us to discover if you suffer from VSS and find ways to recognize it in your adult learner.

This is a training for beginning tutors. Please help me get the word out. If you know of someone who is interested in helping someone to read, let them know about the training. If you were unable to attend the Part 1 or Part 2, now is the time to catch up.

Tutor Training - Part 3
Part 3 training is for those who have attended the first 6-hour training. Your tutor training consists of a 9-hour training (broken into 1-2-3 segments) plus orientation. We will talk about additional curriculum, learning styles and using real world materials.
